OpenJAUS needs your help!

This is our second month into the design of the next OpenJAUS release. We have made good progress, but there is still a long way to go. Here is a summary of what we have done so far:

1. Generated a broad list of requirements
2. Created official OpenJAUS coding standards (Thank you Dennis Miller of Harris Corp.)
3. Designed solution for implementing JSIDL State Machines
4. Designed the framework for the next JAUS messaging API

Here is what's coming up in the design:

• Dynamic system configuration
• Dynamic service discovery
• Secure message transport

Here are some ideas for how YOU can help:

• We need a good name the next version of OpenJAUS. Please post your suggestions on our forum.
• Have you ever used OpenSSL? Help out by working on development of message transport with us.
• Ask your company to become an OpenJAUS sponsor! Maybe you can get paid to write cool robotics software that's used all over the world. Just a fraction of your time could help OpenJAUS tremendously! Your organization can be one of the first to market with a quality SAE JAUS implementation.
